IRS Announces Jan. 30 Tax Season Opening
The IRS announced it will open the 2013 filing season for individual income tax returns Wednesday, January 30, 2013. The vast majority of filers will be able to begin filing their returns on this date. Some returns will not be accepted until late February or early March because of delays in finalizing certain forms. For more information,

Delayed Forms and Publications
Due to the on-going fiscal discussions in Washington, D.C., the IRS continues to delay updating publications and forms to be used for filing 2012 tax returns. This has also kept software vendors delaying updates to their tax preparation software. Once legislation has been passed and signed, we will be sure to update you on how the decisions will impact your clients and keep you aware of when forms and publications have been finalized.
